Saurabh Mathur is the Head Physiotherapist at Prohealth Asia Physiotherapy & Rehab Centre, New Delhi. After graduating from Subharti Physiotherapy College in 2004, he worked at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, gaining extensive experience in various sub-specialties, including Neurology & Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics & Trauma and Sports Medicine. He also completed a Fellowship in Sports Sciences, which enabled him to understand sporting injuries more comprehensively.
In 2008, he completed his MSc in Applied Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) at Sheffield Hallam University, England. On returning to Delhi, he continued working in sports medicine and spine surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He has worked with leading surgeons in Delhi and has extensively treated musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries and spine injuries & rehabilitation.
With over 15 years of experience, his special interests are Shoulder, ACL and ankle injuries. He is keen to analyse uncontrolled movements resulting from muscle imbalances or poor joint biomechanics and uses manual therapy and exercise to restore body mechanics.
He has also completed the World Rugby International Level 1 First Aid in Rugby course.
Dr. Saurabh has a keen interest in Shoulder Physiotherapy and follows the concepts of Prof. Jeremy Lewis and Dr. Ashish Bhabulkar (PSRP concept). His clinical practice also provides him with an opportunity to work extensively with ACL injuries.
He also deals with chronic back pain, taking inspiration from the concepts of Peter O’Sullivan and Lorimer Moseley. Saurabh has developed an interest in male pelvic health since encountering many musculoskeletal and post-surgical patients with issues related to the male pelvic floor.
In addition, he is an NLP certified practitioner, which allows him to work with clients to bring about positive changes in their life. He continuously works to maintain his clinical practice by reading upcoming research.
